Photography exhibit: DC Palestinian Film and Arts Festival
Save the date!
This Sunday, September 30th through October 11th, student photography from this summer will be showcased in a special exhibit during the DC Palestinian Film and Arts Festival (www.dcpfaf.org).
During our summer program in Lebanon, the students took photography as one of their activity/enrichment classes. One of the many reasons why I love the arts is that it allows an opportunity for people to find their voice in a creative way. These students did just that through their photography and it is beautiful. Through these photographs they have shared the stories they want to tell you about life in the refugee camps and as a refugee.
